As part of the Erasmus + Mult'culture-Promote Education for Cultural Heritage project, students of the youngest grades were taken on a virtual tour of our neighborhood. Unfortunately, the planned field trip was prevented by the restrictions related to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. Nevertheless, it was possible to transfer them to the historical and most interesting places of our commune by means of multimedia and meetings with the history teacher, Mr. K. Siwek. The aim of this virtual tour was: to acquaint children with the history of our neighborhood, interesting legends, places and people who created the identity of our little homeland. The students then moved: to the stone commemorating the birth of the great writer Stefan Żeromski, to the ancient ruins of the great smelting furnace in Kuźniaki, to the magnificent manor house of our Nobel Prize winner Henryk Sienkiewicz in Oblęgorek, to the chapel of St. Rozalia on Perzowa Góra, to the ruins of Kołłątajówka in Wólka Kłucka, to the 19th-century water mill in Bugaj and the beautiful baroque churches in Strawczyn and Chełmce. Here is a short photo report and a link to a short film about the commune of Strawczyn.
