Mult'kultura - promote education for cultural heritage 

The project Mult'kultura - promote education for cultural heritage was approved with an excellence assessment for its candidacy for Key Action 2 of the Erasmus + program. It aims to increase children's cultural awareness, develop the ability to maintain and develop regional, national and European cultural identities, and cultivate respect for diversity in the context of migration. Primary teachers and children participate in this project, including families and other elements of the educational environment. It expands from September 2018 to September 2020 and has partner countries such as Romania, Poland, Greece and Italy. It should be noted that for the first time this school presented itself as a coordinator of a project of this type. Co-ordination is carried out by Professors Alexandra Ferreira and Margarida Mota and is co-financed by the Erasmus + program of the European Union.

The Erasmus + project was presented to official actors, parents, guardians and the Portuguese school community.
 
Dissemination: 

 - Brochures have been provided to parents, official entities;

  - Brochures have been distributed in the area and at official schools.

Visit to the City Hall

After academic work, students from Portugal went to the City Hall to present the Mayor and Lady Councilor for Education a work on the county day.   
World Music Day

October 1 is World Music Day. Portuguese students illustrated what this play represents for each of them.

Portuguese students paid a visit entitled "Getting to know our city better and our cultural roots".

The project was published in two regional online newspapers: Diário de Notícias and Jornal de Notícias.

Creative and Entrepreneurial Activity

Portuguese students exposed the democratic values of the youngest (social inclusion, tolerance, equality, sharing), helping them discover and express their personality and cultural identity through creative and entrepreneurial activities.
Let´s get to know each other
The Portuguese made a short film called Let's get to know each other, in which they present in English: our country, our region, our city and our school. They also sent friendly messages to their European colleagues.

Research on culture, traditions and curiosities of other partner countries, presented to other students in English ...

The Portuguese wanted to know more about Italy, Greece, Poland, Portugal and Romania, and learn about the European Union banknotes and coins.
Creative contest for the Portuguese Project Logo

All students of the school took part in a creative competition to create an official logo for use in our Project and it was the winning logo.


 
Conferência

Portuguese coordinators participated in a conference on the future of Europe and the European Union. In the presence of: 

 - the representative of the European Commission in Portugal; 

 - Regional Secretary for Tourism and Culture; 

 - MEP; 

 - Secretary of State for European Affairs

Dissemination activity

The project was disseminated to another Portuguese school: EB1 / PE da Cruz de Carvalho. This is the director of Rogério Queirós.

Halloween festivities

The Portuguese have researched how Italy, Greece, Poland, Portugal and Romania celebrate Halloween.
The official logo
The official logo of the project was created by a Portuguese language teacher.
Trails that tell stories

On November 19, 2019, the Portuguese school welcomed teachers from Italy, Greece, Poland and Romania for a week of classes titled "Trails telling stories" under the Erasmus + Mult'culture - Promate Education for Cultural Heritage program. Official Entities received them.

Dialogues with memory and local identity: cultural heritages

Students from Portugal, in cooperation with teachers from Italy, Greece, Poland and Romania, took part in the workshop "Dialogues with memories and local identity: cultural heritage", led by artist Martim Velosa.

All teams also visited the Frederico de Freitas Museum as it contains items related to Madeira as well as a wide range of sculptures, paintings, furniture, ceramics, engraving, national and foreign origin.
Interacting with classes

On the third day, the teachers interacted with the different classes of the school to develop a topic related to their country's culture. A team from Poland made Christmas cards with two classes, flowers in the colors of their flags.


Greek teachers made a Greek castle tower with two classrooms.

Italian teachers taught students in two classes to prepare a recipe typical of their country.

Romanian teachers taught students Romanian dances and counted with some parents.

"Edu-Culture - Socio-Cultural Identity of the Country" is an exercise presented by teachers from Poland, Greece, Italy and Romania for all Portuguese students.

On the last day, the team of the Câmara de Lobos Vocational Activity Center conducted a show of traditional dances.

With the coach Raquel Estreito, everyone could learn more about entrepreneurship in cultural tourism.
Erasmus + Meeting
Storytelling Routes ended with the entire team assembling to evaluate the activities developed. All teachers received a certificate of attendance.
National Entrepreneur's Day

On the occasion of the National Day of Entrepreneurs, Portuguese students with their parents and guardians went to the Câmara de Lobos Municipal Library to hear about entrepreneurship.

To disseminate the project, Portuguese students created a poster about the Erasmus + project.

The Portuguese school came up with officials, parents, friends, relatives, artists, NGOs to attend the Christmas celebrations. Leaflets and project calendars were distributed.
