The Stefan Żeromski Primary School in Strawczyn joined the campaign "The Memory School" organized by the Ministry of National Education. It is also part of the Erasmus + Mult'culture-Promote Education for Cultural Heritage project implemented by our school and the work of our School Self-government. The aim of the action is to organize activities to commemorate important figures and events in the local history of our region, to sensitize young people to the need to cherish the memory of the heroes of our homeland and to cultivate the centuries-old tradition of All Souls' Day. We do it when the autumn time (November) is approaching, when we remember the dead in a special way, we clean their graves and light candles. We remember then both our relatives and those who went down in the history of our country, and the memory of them is an expression of respect for their lives and achievements. Students from grades 1-3 prepared for this occasion artworks referring to the Polish tradition of All Souls' holidays and the birthplace of our great writer Stefan Żeromski. Students could find out where in our tradition such an attachment to All Souls' Day came from, and get to know the character and literary output of the great writer and patriot, who is undoubtedly connected with our independence, and was born right here in Strawczyn. Here is a short photo report from the action # School Remembers:
