ROMANIA Pia Bratianu School October 2019

*Classes IV F and  I E  (50 students and  5 teachers) visited a landmark in the history of Romania – Cetatea Rasnov (Rasnov Citadel) – Brasov District (180 km from Bucharest);    Class IV A ( 31 students) made presentations about the history of our country and of Europe; the goal was definitely met as the students were truly enthusiastic to experience history and culture directly (through trips, crafts workshops, etc) with long term effects, beyond the duration of this project.
* Workshop: 17th Oct. International Day for the Eradication of Poverty;
Classes IV D, IV A, II C (98 students) made projects related to the topic. Topics like: helping the poor, donating, things to do in order to prevent/help people in need, were also debated.
 *Short films, presentations, poems, creative writing, drawing, short plays on the topic;
The students from the 4th, 3rd , 2nd and 1st grades (283 students and 10 teachers)  were involved in these activities, this month. Searching for the information, creating different products (pieces of writing, projects, posters, etc), working in teams to accomplish the common goals represent the best way to achieve the project objectives.
*Entrepreneurial Activity: Increasing employability chances.
Representatives from CREATIVE NGO organised  workshops with the students in our school (6 teachers, 187 students) on the topic. The workshops included: PPT presentations, interactive activities, games, filling in questionnaires). The students loved this activity because it helped them get a better understanding of the concepts in an interactive, dynamic way.
