ROMANIA Pia Bratianu School DECEMBER 2019

All the primary students in our school (800 students + 35 teachers) were involved in activities related to the celebration of Christmas. Lots of other partners (NGOs, theatre troupes, artists, writers, parents) also participated in the festivities. It was a great opportunity to bring artists and parents together in the middle of the students.
Workshop: “European Citizens of the 21st Century”:
- 3rd Dec International Day of Persons with Disabilities (debates, presentations, writings related to the topic, drawings, acting);
 The students from the IV th grades (95 students, 5 teachers) made presentations in English (photos, drawings, slogans) related to the topic. They even wrote messages in the Project Diary. These activities aimed at raising awareness among children about the persons with disabilities and ways to integrate them in the society. The students enjoyed this activity a lot and proved to be very emphatic.
Workshop: “European Citizens of the 21st Century”:
- 10th Dec Human Rights Day (messages/slogans related to the topic written by the students in b  the Project Diary);
The purpose of this activity was to help students even from an early age to better understand how society works, how people interact in a democratic society and to learn about their rights no matter the differences (religious, gender, skin colour). 140 students (from 4th, 3rd and 2nd grades) joined the activities.
Entrepreneurial activity: Christmas Fair (students make business plans, manufacture goods and decorate the desks (stalls) where their teams (firms) will sell products; other students will be the buyers; flyers and poster to advertise the event will also be created by the students and displayed on school walls/in classrooms to attract more“clients”; promotions, special offers, discounts will be part of the marketing strategy).
350 students (all grades) and 15 teachers organized the Christmas fair in Pia Bratianu School. It was not only a cultural event but also an entrepreneurial activity. The children put all their knowledge about entrepreneurship (business plans, advertising, marketing strategies) and artistic abilities into practice (manufacturing goods). It was a successful activity that reunited the students and the stakeholders in a cultural, festive setting.The main objective was organizing the Christmas Fair. In order to accomplish this, the teachers together with the students organized different entrepreneurial activities presentations and workshops such as: creating some firms, making business plans, filling in forms to get a bank loan, devising marketing strategies to ensure the success of the business (advertising the stall, special offers for the customers), financial analysis (profit/ bankruptcy).
