Romania. January 2020r.

*Watching a famous film that is part of the culture of the country;
The Romanian students watched a famous and iconic film in our culture “Memories from the childhood” adapted from the novel with the same name written by Ion Creanga. The film tells the story of a little boy’s happy childhood in the countryside. 250 students and 10 teachers were involved. The activity was successful as the students had already read the book and they enjoyed seeing it on screen.
Reading poems/literary fragments from works written by famous writers (national/Europe);
On the 15th of January, we celebrated our biggest writer, Mihai Eminescu and all the students in our school participated in activities related to the topic both in English and Romanian. 800 students and 30 teachers involved.
Workshops: story-telling, poetry writing, presentations about famous people (artists, actors,    historic figures);
The students from the 3rd and 4th grades made project presentations (on paper or PPTs on the smart board). 185 students participated in this activity. Exhibitions with the students’ works were also created in the school.
Workshops: brainstorming about this experience and the things they learnt; students talk about their cultural preferences, skills acquired and plans for the future;
The students expressed their feelings, thoughts, ideas and plans for the future in the project diary where they made drawings. Students from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades were involved in the activity.
Watching a theatre play;
The students (Class I E – 34) watched the interactive theatre play “Alladin” performed by Pantalone Theatre Troupe. They loved it, especially because it was interactive and that is why they decided to go to the theatre every weekend. This is the accomplishment of one of the objectives of our project: to determine the students to enjoy Art (theatre, music) even in non-formal environments.
Messages in English written on the topic by the students to their European colleagues.
 150 students participated in this activity. This was one of their favourite activities. The students not only wrote messages but they also made drawings, painted and manufactured different objects specific to the countries.
