ROMANIA Pia Bratianu School NOVEMBER 2019
*Workshops: Landmarks around Europe (students learn about the most important buildings, monuments in the country and in Europe) Students can: design a model of a famous building, or draw/paint the monument, or recreate it using a 3D puzzle:
The students drew and wrote presentations or PPTs /made projects in English about different monuments in the country and around Europe enriching their knowledge on the European and national cultural heritage. This activity was particularly challenging for the 3rd and 4th graders who competed in creating the most beautiful projects and displaying their knowledge of the English language. They also created 3D models of their city- Bucharest, which were displayed in an exhibition organised in the school. The exhibition had a major dissemination impaCT in which 160 students and 6 teachers were involved. All the 1500 students in our school plus visitors, parents and staff could admire and learn about our work.
*Workshop: 16th Nov. International Day of Tolerance: Short films, presentations, poems, creative writing, drawing, short plays on the topic:
We organised another exhibition with the projects and drawings made by the students. The younger students (1st and 2nd graders) created role plays and made drawings on the topic, the older ones (3rd and 4th graders) used technology to create PPTs and projects (laptops, memory sticks, using their ICT skills). More than 300 students and 10 teachers were involved in these activities that aimed at developing good European citizens raised in European values.
