In November, at the initiative of the class teacher and students of class 4a, as well as with the support of the Student Council, the School Volunteer Club, the School Community Center and the Caritas Club, we collected plush mascots and toys for children from the Oncology Center in Kielce at our school. The coordinator of these activities was the "Promyk Nadziei" Foundation from Jędrzejów. The whole action ended on November 25, 2021, when we celebrated the "Teddy Bear Day". All teddy bears and other mascots and toys were delivered to the Miśek Zdziśka Foundation, and then handed over to small patients of the Department of Children's Oncology and Hematology of the Provincial Integrated Hospital in Kielce. This is how we wanted to color the gray everyday life of small cancer patients. Thanks to this initiative, we were able to share a ray of happiness and smile with children who are struggling with a serious disease. Our stuffed animals allowed them to forget about the difficult days, weeks or months of fighting cancer for a while.
