November 10, 2021 we celebrated the 103rd anniversary of Poland regaining independence in our school. From the very morning, all students and teachers dressed in festive clothing joined the Student Self-Government campaign: "For the love of Poland - November 11th cotillion". The culminating moment of the celebration was the ceremonial academy prepared by tutors and students from class 2a and 2b supported by older colleagues from class 8b. Stefan Żeromski in Strawczyn and singing the national anthem "Mazurek Dąbrowski", which was part of the nationwide campaign "School to the anthem". Then we got to know the history of our nation from the partitions, through national uprisings: Kościuszko, November and January, until the outbreak of World War I and regaining independence on November 11, 1918. There were beautiful poems as well as popular patriotic songs: "Przybyli uhlans", "Wojenko, wojko" or "Gray infantry". At the end, we celebrated a minute of silence for all the fallen who fought for the independence of our homeland. Here is a short photo report:

Countries with a rich cultural and historical background (Portugal, Greece, Italy, Poland and Romania) joined this project willing to support this initiative. The major aim is to encourage children to a common European space and to raise pupils' awareness about our European identity, Using culture as a tool to improve the students' academic performance combined with entrepreneurial activities designed to obtain.
