Students in class IV and Va from the Primary School Stefan Żeromski in Strawczyn under the care of his tutors as part of the Erasmus + Mult'culture-Promote Education for Cultural Heritage project took a trip to Kielce, the purpose of which was to learn about the city's history and participate in a theatrical performance entitled "The Chronicles of Narnia". At the very beginning, the students took a walk along Henryka Sienkiewicza Street, stopping by the "Jan Karski Bench", the famous courier of the Polish Underground State, who first told the world about the extermination of the Jewish nation. The next stop was "Artists Square" and the monument "Dzika Kiełka", which refers to the legendary uprising of Kielce. Then they went to the edge of the park Stanisław Staszic, where the "Source of Biruta" and the sculpture "The Oath of Love" are colloquially called by the Kielce inhabitants Biruta, which is the beloved of Marcin Borowicz from the "Syzyf works" by Stefan Żeromski. The history of all these places was approached by students of history teacher Mr. K. Siwek. which was the most important goal of this trip was the Stefan Żeromski Theater in Kielce. It was here that the students watched the wonderful theatrical performance prepared by the Kielce actors titled "Chronicles of Narnia." Here is a short photo report.
This blog represents views experience of Erasmus + school partners. Countries with a rich cultural and historical background (Portugal, Greece, Italy, Poland and Romania) joined this project willing to support this initiative.
