December 20, 2019 in the hall of the Primary School in Strawczyn, class III students under the direction of their tutor Mrs. I. Met and their parents prepared a beautiful performance related to the old Polish tradition - carolling. Caroling or a folk rite that dates back to the 13th / 14th century, consisting in the fact that groups of carolers visited individual farms with good wishes from Christmas to New Year, for which they received gifts in the form of food or small donations from the hosts. Our young actors, beautifully dressed in costumes prepared by their parents, took on various characters: devils, angels, King Herod, grim reaper (death), goat and even a stork. For all viewers but also performers it was an unforgettable meeting with our tradition, which thanks to such performances will certainly not disappear. Here is a short photo report:
