November 20, 2019 as part of the Erasmus + Mult'culture-Promote Education for Cultural Heritage project at the Primary School Stefan Żeromski in Strawczyn there was another meeting with the artists of the Świętokrzyska Philharmonic. This time, opera singing was presented on the example of the work of Stanisław Moniuszko. First, students from grades 4-8 and 0-3 were introduced to the great Polish composer, conductor, teacher and organist, author of over 268 songs, many operas, operettas, ballets and church music. He created music characterized by nationality, weaving into his compositions expressive elements of Polish folklore and using the works of Polish poets. The students then heard fragments of his operas and songs.
The second figure presented by the invited guests was an outstanding romantic artist: Fryderyk Chopin. His nocturnes, polonaises, waltzes, etudes, mazurkas, preludes and piano concertos made him one of the greatest pianists and composers in history. He was inspired by Polish folk music, and our national soul can be heard in almost all his work, which is part of the world culture - just like the music of Bach, Beethoven or Mozart. Here is a short photo report:
