Pupils from class IV and VA from Strawczyn at the play "Stories from Narnia".

Students in class IV and Va from the Primary School Stefan Żeromski in Strawczyn under the care of his tutors as part of the Erasmus + Mult'culture-Promote Education for Cultural Heritage project took a trip to Kielce, the purpose of which was to learn about the city's history and participate in a theatrical performance entitled "The Chronicles of Narnia". At the very beginning, the students took a walk along Henryka Sienkiewicza Street, stopping by the "Jan Karski Bench", the famous courier of the Polish Underground State, who first told the world about the extermination of the Jewish nation. The next stop was "Artists Square" and the monument "Dzika Kiełka", which refers to the legendary uprising of Kielce. Then they went to the edge of the park Stanisław Staszic, where the "Source of Biruta" and the sculpture "The Oath of Love" are colloquially called by the Kielce inhabitants Biruta, which is the beloved of Marcin Borowicz from the "Syzyf works" by Stefan Żeromski. The history of all these places was approached by students of history teacher Mr. K. Siwek. which was the most important goal of this trip was the Stefan Żeromski Theater in Kielce. It was here that the students watched the wonderful theatrical performance prepared by the Kielce actors titled "Chronicles of Narnia." Here is a short photo report.

Traditional St. Andrew's Day party at ZPO Strawczyn.

As the centuries-old tradition dictates before the beginning of Advent, i.e. on St. Andrzej, the patron of Scotland, Greece and Russia, boasts fun and fortune-telling evenings, which on this day have magical power. Tradition also had to be fulfilled at Strawczyn's Primary School on November 28, 2019. "St. Andrew's Day" was organized. In addition to dancing, where children dressed up in different characters from fairy tales and more, students could use the divination corner and the cake fair, where for a small fee they could buy products prepared by students and their parents. The money collected from the fair is to support the "Noble Package" campaign organized in our school. It was a beautiful cultural journey for our students, communing with age-old tradition and the opportunity to promote the idea of ​​volunteering and entrepreneurship for our children. Students of the Primary School in Strawczyn in the Youth Council of the Strawczyn Commune.

November 28, 2019 in the Strawczyn Commune Office a new Youth Commune Council started its activity. The school in Strawczyn was represented by its representatives elected at the end of September in democratic elections: Z. Dąbek, A. Jarząbek and K. Wawrzeńczyk in the care of Mr. K. Siwek. At the first meeting in the presence of the head of the Strawczyn commune Mr. T. Tkaczyk, Chairman of the Commune Council Mr. G. Stępień and guardian of the Youth Council of the Commune and Deputy Chairman of the Strawczyn Commune Council Mr. D. Gad, there was a solemn nomination for councilors and the election of a chairman and 3 vice-chairmen. Our students will have the opportunity to see for themselves what democracy is, what work in the local government looks like, what competencies and tasks are borne by councilors. Working at the Strawczyn Youth Council, they will also be able to act for the development of their "little homeland" and change its face and learn democracy.
