Christmas at school in Strawczyn.

On December 21, at the school in Strawczyn, the students, under the guidance of teachers and great help from their parents, prepared a traditional - Nativity play. Nativity play, or so-called "Bethlehem crib" is a Christmas-style staging modeled on the medieval Franciscan mysteries. Their name comes from the old Polish word jasło, or manger and is modeled on Christmas performances started in 1223 by Saint Francis of Assisi. The custom came to Poland from Italy at the turn of the fourteenth / fifteenth century. Our disciples who combined the times of the birth of Jesus of Nazareth with this day have maintained this beautiful tradition.
