The end of the "Góra Grosza" campaign at SP Strawczyn.

 We have just completed a fundraiser for the "Góra Grosza" campaign. The purpose for which small coins are collected is to help children who grow up outside their families - in orphanages or foster families. Educational activity is also important, i.e. showing the youngest what strength can be provided by a small help of many people and joint action for the good of the needy under the principle: "One penny means little, but the Penny Mountain is the largest in the world." The Students' Self-Government, together with the School Volunteer Association and the Caritas Circle, counted the collected coins and handed it over to the "Nasz Dom" Society through the Polish Post, which is the initiator of this nationwide charity campaign. This school year, we managed to collect the sum of PLN 292 and PLN 23, for which we would like to thank all the donors.

 

Students from the Primary School Stefan Żeromski in Strawczyn in the Youth Commune Council.

 April 26, 2022 a meeting of the Youth Commune Council was held at the Commune Office in Strawczyn. Our school was represented by three councilors elected by the school community in democratic elections: Wiktoria Dziubeła from class 8a and Bartłomiej Wawrzeńczyk and Kacper Wodecki from class 8b. The students first made a solemn promise that they would fulfill their duties with dignity, and then received from the head of the Strawczyn commune, Tadeusz Tkaczyk, the chairman of the Strawczyn Commune Council, Grzegorz Stępień, and the Deputy Chairman of the Strawczyn Commune Council, and also the guardian of the Youth Council, Damian Gad, nominations for councilors. It will be a great teaching for them about the idea of self-government and shaping civic attitudes. Once again, we congratulate our councilors and wish them fruitful work for the benefit of the local community.

 

Students from Strawczyn at the Geoeducation Center in Kielce and the Raj Cave.

 April 21, 2022 students from grades 7b, 8a and 8b with their tutors went on a trip to the Geoeducation Center in Kielce and to the Raj Cave. By participating in an educational game and workshops, they had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge about the geological past of the Earth and the rocks and minerals that build it. The continuation of the theme was admiring the unusual phenomena and karst forms while visiting one of the most beautiful caves in Poland.

 

Against aggression and violence at the Primary School Stefan Żeromski in Strawczyn.

 "Stop aggression and violence - let's try it differently" - this was the slogan of the assembly on 22/04/2022 prepared by the 7th grade under the supervision of the school pedagogue and psychologist. The students who prepared this event wanted to pay special attention to cyberbullying that is very common in the modern world - violence with the use of information and communication technologies, mainly the Internet and mobile phones. Usually, the high level of online activity of young people, which is not sufficiently controlled - and unfortunately more and more often - is transferred to them in turn, to the best interpersonal relationships of students in and outside school. The message of the entire performance was strengthened and credible by the preventive films. The appeal ended with the words: “Let's try to develop positive thinking in ourselves! Let us be clear and straightforward! Let's stand up for an unjustly wronged friend! Let us learn to say no and advise honestly! Let us put envy, jealousy, and hypocrisy in the garbage! Then proudly and always held up my head Time spent at school without arguments will order! ... " May everyone take these slogans to heart and be guided by them in their daily relations with others ...
